Safer Access advocates for safer working environments for relief and development agencies. While our activities as a whole contribute towards this goal, we also undertake specific activities to achieve this goal. Examples of the advocacy work we conduct includes lobbying private security companies to make training in humanitarian issues mandatory for staff deploying overseas, assisting militaries to understand the issue of humanitarian space and how they can negatively impact it through pre-deployment training, and by providing information to media writing about issues of humanitarian work around the world.
